Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette Makeup Tutorial and Review

Makeup Tutorial and Review of the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette

It’s taken me ages to get round to posting this video but here it is.

I got my hands on the amazing Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette early this year. I wanted to use as many colours from it as possible to create a makeup tutorial. This video wouldn’t be complete without a review of the palette so I’ve tried to cover as many points as possible from packaging to pricing.

First and foremost this part of the review needs much attention ! The packaging of this palette is freaking awesome.  The front is 3D like with the writing coming off the palette with an awesome star-like cascade in a bronze colour for the background – the whole packaging draws your attention and is simply beautiful.

It’s a lot smaller than most other Urban Decay palettes but packs a punch with all the matte colours inside, plus 1 shimmery one to add a little sparkle.

Inside the palette comes with a cute double ended brush and of course, a mirror, which is super helpful unlike the ATLG palette which unfortunately didn’t feature the mirror.

So in this tutorial I tried to use as many colours as possible to give you an idea of the soft and perfectly blend-able shades.  I used:

  • Blow
  • Nude
  • Commando
  • Instinct
  • Lethal
  • Extra Bitter
  • Lockout
  • Blackjack

With of course some NYX Cosmetics Vivid Bright eyeliner to give a final touch and splash of colour and a bold lip.

Each colour blends seamlessly into the next.  They are soft, really pigmented and if you use some MAC Fix Plus Spray or similar setting spray the colors literally pop off your brush! There are so many variations of makeup looks that can be achieved with this palette, which makes it so unique.

At the moment this palette costs approximately £37 in the United Kingdom (as of March 2017).  This one was bought for me but I would definitely say that the palette is worth every penny as it seriously is one of the best nude palettes Urban Decay have produced with an added elegance.

Definitely one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes at the moment.

Rating: 10/10
